Just the kind of song I was looking for. A relaxed Friday in office. Nothing to do except find out new songs. Acoustic guitar and a harmonica. How beautiful do those two instruments sound together. It's no Neil Young but I like it nevertheless.
Have you ever been to that place that I call dreamer’s street Where everybody’s they're just all having fun and you can stand on your bare feet ‘Cause the grass is soft and you can roll it too Then again son you might want to find your shoes
Down on dreamer’s street where life is oh so neat Down on dreamer’s street where life is oh so neat
And I’m burnt out by my own pace And it’s getting harder to recall ‘Cause as times gone by so fast you see But I’ll get by until the fall But this gigs almost over and I can’t leave now I’m gonna take a trip to nowhere and cope some how
Down on dreamer’s street where life is oh so neat Down on dreamer’s street where life is oh so neat
What will become of you Can you clear that smoky room And you’re finding out that it’s not so fun anymore And you’re always lookin.. lookin out that back door I went down there just the other day To see this old friend of mine Before he even said hello I hear somebody loan me a dime ‘Cause the cops down the street are just a minor threat And there ain’t no kind of cancer in your cigarette
Down on dreamer’s street where life is oh so neat Down on dreamer’s street where life is oh so neat...
