OMG! The instrumental which begins around the 4 minute mark and continues till the end of the song is mind blowing. Have been listening to it in a loop for the last 20 minutes or so. I've always adored this band for their distinct musical style. I don't know how to describe it but all their songs are unique. This one, though, is something much much higher. It's the 41st song the band wrote.
Come see I swear by now I'm playing time against my troubles oh I'm coming slow but speeding... Do you wish for a dance and while I'm in the front My play on time is won Oh, but the difficulty is coming here...
I will go in this way Oh, and I'll find my own way out I won't tell you what to be Oh,no, but I'm coming to much more Me All at once the ghosts come back Reeling in you now oh tell me What if they came down crushing It used to be that you and me play for all of the loneliness that nobody notices now I'm begging slow 'cause I'm coming here... I wanted to play I wanted to stay I wanted to love you
I'm only this far And only tomorrow leads the way
I'm coming waltzing back and moving into your head Please, I wouldn't pass this by Oh no, but I wouldn't take more than I need What sort of man goes by? Well, I will bring water Why won't you ever be glad? It melts into wonder I came in praying for you Why won't you run in to rain and pray? Let all tears splash all over you
The way the rain comes, The way the rain comes down on you, It does.
This is just a good slow Rock song. Nothing particularly special maybe. But to me everything just fits perfectly in this one - the guitar, the organs, the riffs. The lead singer, by the way, is Jacob Dylan, son of Bob.
I feel pretty good I feel all right And I've been thinkin' maybe I could spend the night
I know you've been sad I know I've been bad But if you'd let me Make you ribbons from a paper bag
Chorus: Josephine You're so good to me And I know It ain't easy Josephine You're so sweet You must taste just like sugar & tangerines
I won't make a sound Sleep on the ground When you wake I will Drive you into town I missed your smile Your schoolgirl style But I never had much fun Maybe the very first mile
(chorus)
Don't you know I watched you walkin' home from school Your friends on the old playgrounds You never looked so down Won't you come and help me with these cuts of mine? I've disconnected my heart And cut myself on the wires Josephine
I know I was wrong I knew all along But I got so far from my home I never thought I'd be so lonesome
This is absolutely brilliant. Witty, catchy, satirical, refreshing. Listen to it in full volume. It will make you laugh. The one liners interlacing the song will make you nod in admiration. I'm just wondering, how much of it holds true in India!
Thanks Rohan. And as this blog tells me, it's creating waves in Pakistan right now.
By the way, this is priceless: Nek woh hai jis ko mauqa nahi mila.

This is a wonderful concept to bring together the best musicians from Pakistan. I think the stage, sound and the lights are quite brilliantly done. Browse through the site and you shouldn't be disappointed. And I loved this song. Kishore Kumar meets funky bass grooves and some inspired backing vocals in this number from Pakistan's pop sensation Ali Zafar.
